It has help tremedously with keeping up with school, work, family and life in general.

The last past weeks I have not seen huge drop in the scale just slow put steady. I am averaging losing 4.5 lbs per week. I can tell a huge difference in my clothes.

What have I been eating? Well, I declined the offer to pay $25.00 for a receipe book offered by my doctor's office. After being on the protocol for a couple of weeks I am glad I can cook.

Tilapia & a leaf lettuce salad or/and Grilled Shrimp with a cup of cabbage

Typical lunch and dinner

3/4/09 -- Morning weigh in 221 - On the Feb. 25th I spent 40 mins in the sauna (2 - 20 min sessions with a 15 minute break in between)

Today I had my first colonic...wow what an experience! I can't exactly say I have been regular on the HCG protocol. I am planning to have another on Friday of this week.

I did miss a workout last week, my trainer had a scheduling conflict. Honestly, I was glad for the break. Our workouts consist of jogging, lunges, squats, resistance training, abs and some other things that fill up our 1 hr and half timeframe. I am very grateful that he is taking his time to come to my gym. I posted a pic of the gym aka my 2nd home, lol. I figured if I gotta sweat I sweat somewhere nice! Not shown in the picture is swanky modern chandelier right in the middle of the gym. The interior designer me, is a sucker for a beautiful space!

Week 2 -- HCG Protocol

For this week I am going to keep it short and sweet and just post my scale readings from 2/12 and 2/19. I am glad to see my percentage of body fat drop a few points. More than the numbers on the scale I can tell that I have lost inches I can now wear a size 16 jeans comfortably, lol. Two weeks I could not get the pants of above my thigh. I have not missed any workout with my trainer, 3x a week - Mon., Wed., & Fri @ 4pm each day.

I Survived Week #1 - LOL!

I must say that I have looked to prepared meal plans like Fresh-N-Fit (which I do plan to use for maintenance when I have completed the HCG protocol) and saw 1200 calories a day I just shook my head. But, after having 500 calories for a week and the next few weeks I am almost looking forward to the hitting the 1200 calorie mark.

You know all in all the 1st week was not that bad. I only had a couple of days of hunger pains the appetite suppressants were a big help in this area. My starting weight was 238.8 and you are asked to consume as many calories as you can to during "load weekend" to help get your body through the 1st week. I almost a had trouble eating a bunch of junk over those 2 days, I think my biggest issues were lack of regular exercise, portion-control, not eating breakfast & sometimes eating too late in the day -- not eating a entire pack of oreos. By Monday I was up to 242.6 lbs. and ready to start my shots.

I have set up a schedule to workout with my trainer on Mon., Wed., & Fri. @ the same time each day @ my gym. At this point I am on week #2 of the exercise portion of my plan. The first 2 sessions I was so sore, I have been able to work through it with regular massages. My trainer is awesome, the workout is tough and know it will help give me the tone that I am seeking.

Feb. 9 - workout was for 1.5 hrs. -- It was kind of rough energy wise 1st day of VLCD

Feb. 10 - 2nd shot day 238.2 lb
Feb. 11 - 236.6 lb - workout was about 1 hr. with trainer

Feb. 12 - 235 - walked/jog for appox. 25 min.

Feb. 13 - 234 - workout was appox 1 hr. with trainer, got a foot massage with included a brief upper body massage late that evening.

Feb. 14 - 232.2 - no HCG shots, I choose to make this my skip day because I was out of cotton disk I used for the alcohol for the injections. For dinner tonight is Valentine's Day after all, my hubby I went out to eat one of favorite Thai spots - I ordered my favorite dish - Spicy Thai Basil without rice that means just the sauteed chicken (in spices not greasy at all like Chinese) with bell peppers and onions and H2O to drink. I only ate 1/3 of the dish and saved the rest for leftovers.

Oh, what did I dine on you ask.....

I have rotated by diet with the following:

B - Tea with truvia

S - Strawberries with truvia or a small protein shake

L & D - Pre-seasoned grilled shrimp with lettuce - Ms. Dash & a bit of lemon as dressing or
Pre-seasoned grilled chicken with cabbage - seasoned with a bit of Thai chili sauce (15 cal/tsp)

I am trying to average 3 liters of water every day.

Total lost of 6.6 lbs for week 1 -- yea! I bought a pair of jeans a couple of weeks ago just before I began with my trainer tried them on when I got home and they didn't fit, I could not get them over my thighs. (I really can't believe that I am sharing that little tidbit, wow!) By Friday I was wearing those jeans - size 16.

I also started reading - "THE TRUTH: What You Must Know Before December 21, 2012." by Stephen Hawley Martin - I am on chapter 4 very enlightening read!

Load Weekend!

Alrighty here we go, to reach my target weight of 165 from 238.8 I am using the following methods:

#1 - Dr. Simeon's HCG protocol with help of a bariatric doctor here in the Atlanta area

#2 - Exercise - not some powderpuff workout on a rebouncer, I work out 3x a week with a great trainer, Habib, he is wonderful guy from the Ivory Coast.

#3 - VLCD under 500 calories per the protocol

#4 - Cleansing via colonics, foot detoxing and weekly dry infrared sauna

According to the experts I should me 125-135 because I am 5'5" but honestly I think I would look sickly being that thin. Had IHOP for the last time for a long while.

Feb. 7th - Took first shot. Still need to get scales; to weigh me and food. I am so glad my load days happened on the weekend. This weekend has been gorgeous here in Atlanta. Earlier in the week it was cold as heck, but it got up to 65+ both days. Had a huge charbroiled burger from Mike's 57 Grill in Alpharetta, not a big burger fan but if I eat one I want it to be a darn good burger. We wanted to try the Vortex but it was a bit crowded. I also ate a pint of Carmel Cone icecream, it usually takes me a week to finish a pint and then for the dinner Outback, baby! Wings and coconut shrimp with bread butter and lots of blue cheese dressing for the wings.

I could not believe I almost ate it all, I would normally only eat half!

Feb. 8th - 2nd shot. Got scales late Sat. & had to take back the one to weight me 2x to Walmart, neither one worked like it was supposed to. The first would not work at all and the 2nd (same kind as first) would not operate as it was should. I have eaten left overs from Outback for breakfast, milkshake from Arbys, parfait from McD's, grill cheese sandwich with lots of butter & 2 piece fried fish and fries with sprite/fanta mix from American Deli. Still not sure if I have had enough fat to help get through the first week. I didn't eat every 2 hours like some people have suggested. Heading back to Walmart to return this darn fancy scale for something ol skool that works!

Hey didn't have to go back to Walmart after all the 2nd scale worked after another try. I did eat a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory as my last calorie/fat slurge. Hopefully, I have ingested enough to make the first week smooth sailing! We will see....

The Journey Begins

I am a 34 years old and just at a point in my life where I am ready for a new adventure.
